I am employed at a local nonprofit in Eagle River that was hit particularly bad with the November 30 earthquake. We had to vacate our office space, as it received significant damage. When we were ready to move into a new location Golden North was AMAZING! They were very generous and offered us a nonprofit price, sent extremely professional and friendly movers who did everything they could to make sure that our transition was smooth. They planned, organized and coordinated the move with us. We really can't say enough about his company! We would highly recommend them for corporate or residential moving! Thanks Golden North!

We have had the opportunity to work with Golden North twice, the first purely by chance but the second by request. We were SO IMPRESSED with them during our first relocation that we asked our company if we could use them for our second relocation two years later. Kim was our primary point of contact during both and I cannot say enough about her and her crew. Everything was so well communicated and the moving crews were all so efficient and friendly. They met our deadlines every time and all of our belongings arrive perfectly labeled and packed each time. I would HIGHLY suggest this company for your next move.

We have used Golden North Van Lines to move us in town a couple of times and always been pleased with how our belongings were treated and the professionalism of the movers. So when time came to move out of state we called our favorite associate Kim Mahosky. She took care of us as always with great detail on instructing us how to make sure things were moved the most efficient and cost effective manner. The crew that spent a week packing us up were the best!! They wrapped our things so carefully and were very respectful of our personal items. We had a lot of collectables, antiques and family heirlooms that I was very concerned about. But when they arrived at our new home in the lower 48 all was great. The company that unpacked us on the other end even commented they had never seen things wrapped so well. It was worth every dollar spent. You work your entire life collecting your things and it matters it all makes its in good shape. Thank you Kim and the moving crew.

We successfully moved from Juneau to Anchorage with the excellent support from Brenda and her team at GSA. It was a very professional yet personal experience. Brenda really cares and she shows it by responding promptly to phone calls and emails and going the extra mile to find solutions. Our move was complicated by a remodel in our destination home and Brenda worked with us to hold onto our items long enough to let the contractors finish up. She regularly called throughout the process to check in and it felt like she was right there with us! The moving team in Juneau World-Wide Movers--with Gil and his crew--are the hardest working guys you will ever meet. They come in and pack everything up with care--and they get the job done. They are professional, no nonsense people. Beside all of that, they are seriously strong. Wow! On the final leg, the GSA moving crew showed up right on time on moving-in day. They were professional, friendly, easy-going guys who will work with you to make sure everything goes where it needs to go and to reassemble furniture. Great team! Overall, amazingly positive experience. Thank you GSA. Moving is stressful but you all made it the least stressful move of our lives. Keep up the good work!

Having moved in the military my whole childhood, I watch and listened to the horror stories of movers breaking things, ill packing items, damaging walls and furniture, and possessions just being gone when we arrived. So when I moved, I didn't have much confidence. Golden North proved me wrong. I can't stress what an awesome experience this was. Christina, our moving coordinator, kept me informed, answered any questions I had, had patience with us, and always had a friendly demeanor and disposition. The actual crews that packed our house were friendly, clean, professional, and caring. Friendly is an understatement. At both ends, we were treated with true customer service. And we even received an Alaska themed welcome bag when the crew showed up to unload our household goods. As with any move, there are items that may get damaged. We had very minor damage and Golden North shows true concern regarding this and is committed to making these issues correct. If you need a company to move your goods, I can't recommend them enough. If you own a company and want to see how customer service, follow through, and generally how a corporation should be run, I recommend looking at Golden North. Geoff Brady Happy Customer

We were so impressed with our experience with Golden North Van Lines! Sales manager, Brian, was meticulous and patient as he assessed our poundage of household goods. He also gave us great advice about moving our car and reducing our total load. Then he kindly came back again after we changed our minds about many furniture items. The Packing crew was also great.(Thank you Kimo, BJ, Derek, Adrian, and June!) They were organized, polite, friendly, and worked incredibly hard and efficiently. They treated my crystal and antiques with great care! I am recommending Golden North to everyone I know, and I told my realtor to do the same.

First of all, if you are planning a move in Alaska, these guys are who you should contact. Our move to the Kenai Peninsula was anything but typical. We dealt with shipping issues due to the pandemic, a seriously long distance move from the East to Alaska. Golden North took care of us from the Port of Anchorage to the Kenai Peninsula. The coordinator called us prior to the move, and was courteous and helpful. On the day of our move, we had below zero temps and had 10 inches of snow on the ground. We had also been told that because of where we lived they would probably need 2 days so they can bring our stuff to the house in several truckloads. When they arrived at our house, they were courteous, and immediately began to lay cardboard down so they didn't mess up our floors. We discussed where things went and they immediately got to work unloading. Much to our surprise and delight, they were able to bring everything up in 1 truckload. We told them to leave the boxes in the garage so we could go through everything at our pace. They stacked the boxes in such a way that we could get our car in the garage as well, something we greatly appreciated. My only "complaint " was that some of the heavy boxes were stacked high up, but space was limited, and they did an overall great job. They placed the furniture where we asked them to and removed and discarded all packaging. They get further props for working while we had a 5.9 earthquake shake the house for about 30 seconds! The movers were extremely courteous, very efficient, and were done with our move in 2 1/2 hours while working in extreme temperatures. I know that if I have to make a move in the future, I will not hesitate to contact Golden North moving. They were fantastic! Very highly recommend, and that is high praise from me, because the beginning of our move with another company was disastrous. I've known about Golden North for 20+ years having worked in relocation arrangements in a previous job. After having a few different companies quote my move, I selected Golden North as my origin agent for an out-of-state move, as they provided the greatest value for my move. I did the home quote/review 100% virtually and it was seamless and spot-on. Mira and Taylor are fantastic. They provide timely and professional communication. I was able to speak to them when I called and any messages were returned the same day rather email or phone. In the supply chain/logistics industry in today's marketplace, that is a rare find and adds to the overall quality of my move. The packing was professionally done. I've had terrible movers before and I can say that my things were packed with care. In fact, I have zero broken glass because of the care that was taken. The 3 person crew did a great job packing and loading. My delivery agent was late on the day of move-in. Mira worked with the delivery agent to get an updated timeline and get things moving in the right direction. Within 30 minutes I had a phone call and a new estimated delivery time that the crew met. If you are looking for a professional, responsive, and quality mover in Anchorage, look no further. Golden North stands above its competitors and treats its customers with care.

This moving company did a fantastic job!! My husband had nothing but positive things to say about the crew who packed up our household in Fairbanks; and I have nothing but positive things to say about the crew who delivered and unpacked our belongings in Anchorage. I am shocked at how they lifted and moved some extraordinarily heavy items so smoothly without damage or even a scrape on a wall. They were also very kind and patient with me as we navigated a LOT of stuff with some small spaces--which took some expertise and finesse on their part. They went above and beyond our expectations. I have never had such a stress-free move 😆❤️

In September 2019 our business Snow Blossom Acupuncture, LLC - Wellness & Float Center gave Golden North a very big task. We had them move a Float Tank up to our second story office, in which they had to use the stairs. They worked hard to take care of our new piece of equipment (which was very very heavy) - everyone that helped in this process gave exceptional care to this unique move.
